Day 39 Hundred, WV to Morgantown, WV (45 bike miles:2683 cumulative bike miles

Today we would be saying good bye to Jay who had become a very good friend to all of us. He also did a fabulous job as the SAG driver for 10 days.

The plan was for Jay to drive us back to the main road and then drive himself to Morgantown (actually Westover) park Tiggy and catch the bus to Pittsburgh. We would bike to Morgantown to pick up Tiggy.

The only hitch was that we thought that we were on a different road than we actually were. Jay made a wrong turn and wound up in Pennsylvania!! But he did make the bus - by 1 minute! He actually left Tiggy at the bus station itself, apparently sweet talking the station manager into letting him do so.

Soon after being dropped off by Jay on Highway 7, we reached the town of Hundred, WV at the junction Routes 7 and 250. The town basically consists of a gas station and a cafe, where we stopped for a second breakfast. We chatted with some of the locals and also got valuable information on getting to Morgantown.

The ride was beautiful along with some interesting sites and views along the way.

Once in Morgantown, we found a great bike trail along the Monongahela River, and eventually retrieved Tiggy. We had a "three beer lunch" in town and spent the rest of the afternoon doing laundry and spiffing up Tiggy, in advance of the arrival of our last SAG drivers, who would be arriving tomorrow.
