Breakfast of Fresh ground coffee and four-grain pancakes at Jean and Rich Gibion’s house in Prescott Valley, fond goodbyes and then 2500 ft climb up Mingus Mountain (El:7303). We all miraculously met Dennis at the overlook where the dramatic “handoff” of the keys and SAG duties to Martha Easter-Wells took place. Then it was the steep downhill through the lovely town of Jerome and further downhill to Cottonwood. But we next faced another 1000 ft. climb to Sedona and the Rancho Sedona campground, a total of 52 bike miles for the day. It was then farewell to Dennis and Jonathan who take Martha’s rental car back to the Phoenix airport.
Jeanne and Rich look great! We miss them on Marie Terrace.
