At 3:00 pm, April 13, 2009, Charlie, Bill, Kriss, Dennis, and myself dipped our bikes in the Pacific Ocean and started the journey to Atlantic Ocean!
On day 1, we biked 34 miles and climbed 1,540 feet.

After driving 3000 miles from NJ to CA, we spent a few minutes at the Pacific and immediately turned back.
